Overview

Salah Fahmy is a financial services litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Chicago office, where he represents businesses, banks and financial institutions in individual and class action cases throughout the country. Mr. Fahmy has extensive experience in matters involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and various other consumer protection statutes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration.

Mr. Fahmy also routinely represents and counsels clients in the areas of cryptocurrency, financial technology, mortgage servicing, credit card and revolving lines of credit, auto finance, consumer debt buying, commercial debt collection and business contract disputes.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Fahmy was a financial services litigation attorney, representing financial institutions in regulatory matters before federal government agencies, as well as in litigation matters in state and federal court, and in arbitration. Mr. Fahmy also served as judicial extern to the Honorable Ronald F. Bartkowicz of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
