Jessica Farmer is an experienced trial attorney in Holland & Knight's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice in the firm's Washington, D.C., office. With a broad and dynamic practice, Ms. Farmer represents clients in federal and state courts as well as in arbitration proceedings. Her experience spans a wide array of high-stakes commercial disputes, covering a broad range of matters involving breach of contract, allegations of fraud, real estate disputes, purported class actions, product liability and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), particularly cases involving employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs).
Ms. Farmer has a proven track record in handling intricate cases, ranging from large-scale mass torts to individual contract disputes. She has served as national, regional and local counsel, providing adept defense in high-stakes litigation. Known for her strategic approach, Ms. Farmer excels in managing litigation strategy, successfully navigating complicated discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and negotiating favorable settlements for her clients.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Farmer is deeply committed to pro bono work. Ms. Farmer provides pro bono representation to veterans in cases involving Military Sexual Trauma (MST) before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and to individuals seeking asylum in the United States. Ms. Farmer is also a passionate advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), serving as co-chair of the DEI Committee in the Washington, D.C., office.
