Michelle Guevara

Michelle Guevara Salcedo is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Bogotá office. Ms. Guevara focuses her practice on international arbitration and commercial law matters.

Ms. Guevara handles corporate governance, compliance and ethics, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), project finance, due diligence processes and commercial or investment arbitration proceedings at a national and international level.

Ms. Guevara has experience in drafting, reviewing and analyzing commercial contracts, bylaws, shareholders agreements and other legal documents, as well as reviewing insolvency and arbitration matters such as liquidation or reorganization processes brought before the Superintendency of Corporations or arbitration proceedings brought before the Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Ms. Guevara has a significant background regarding nonprofit entities, especially in the structuring of their Transparency and Business Ethics Program and the updating of their Special Tax Regime before the National Tax and Customs Department.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight in her current role, Ms. Guevara was a law clerk in the firm's Bogotá office. Previously, she served as a relationship management consultant and accounting assistant, where she was engaged in multiple cross-border transactions and advised companies in their corporate and business matters, which gave her in-depth knowledge on financial statements, data protection, problem solving, communication and negotiation skills.
