Overview

Mamie C. Joeveer is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office, where she focuses her practice on land use and zoning matters. Ms. Joeveer represents developers and other property owners before local governments and state agencies in obtaining permits and approvals. She also has experience in commercial real estate transactions.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Joeveer represented clients in the acquisitions, sales, leasing and financing of commercial properties. She also has extensive experience in commercial and corporate litigation, representing franchises, commercial real estate developers, investors, public and private companies in commercial contract disputes, complex class actions, joint ventures and matters of compliance.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Joeveer was a business and entertainment journalist and producer for national news outlets. Ms. Joeveer also served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, achieving the rank of captain, with high-level assignments at the Pentagon, United Nations mission in Haiti and the African Crisis Response Initiative. She is an active member in Holland & Knight's Veterans Group.

In the community, Ms. Joeveer is actively involved with the Miami City Ballet as a member of the board of directors. Her initiatives include programs centered on accessibility in the performing arts.
