Overview

Brianna "Bri" Jones Rich is an attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office and a member of the firm's Public Policy & Regulation Group and Clean Technology Team. Ms. Jones Rich focuses her practice on the development of clean technology, renewable energy and financing opportunities.

Ms. Jones Rich works with clean technology and renewable energy clients to pursue federal funding and financing programs, with a particular focus on funding from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO), Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Jones Rich advised clients on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including project finance, capital markets, structured finance and corporate transactions. She also led the Equality State Policy Center, a nonprofit coalition advocacy organization, and advised political candidates and campaigns.

Representative Experience

  • Represented innovative clean tech companies in securing project and corporate financing through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office for Title 17 Clean Energy Financing and Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing programs
  • Represented the lenders in a syndicated cross-border renewable energy project financing in the Dominican Republic
  • Represented the lenders in a syndicated solar project financing in West Virginia and Louisiana
  • Represented the purchasers in the acquisition of two solar facilities in New Jersey
  • Represented the borrower in the financing of a solar facility in Texas
  • Represented the hedge providers in a foreign exchange hedge as part of a clean energy project financing  

  • Represented the arranger in a debt-for-nature debt conversion transaction for a sovereign
  • Represented the lenders in a syndicated loan to a Chilean borrower
  • Represented the quasi-sovereign issuer in a Rule 144A/Reg S debt issuance of $1.25 billion
  • Represented the lenders in a syndicated cross-border corporate financing to a Latin American conglomerate
  • Represented the underwriters in a Rule 144A/Reg S debt issuance of $4.25 billion for a sovereign issuer
  • Represented the underwriters in a registered debt issuance of $400 million for a sovereign issuer
  • Represented the issuer in an ongoing 4(a)(2) private placement credit risk transfer program
  • Represented multiple lenders and agents in Libor to SOFR transition for existing loan agreements
  • Represented the issuer in multiple synthetic credit risk transfer transactions
  • Represented the underwriters in a tender offer, consent solicitation and Rule 144A/Reg S issuance for a Latin American power company
  • Represented the underwriters in a tender offer for a Colombian issuer
