Sydney Kanjuparamban

Sydney L. Kanjuparamban is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the firm's Healthcare Regulatory Compliance Team. Ms. Kanjuparamban advises clients on a variety of healthcare regulatory and corporate transactional matters, as well as represents clients in healthcare fraud, waste, abuse and compliance matters.

Ms. Kanjuparamban's regulatory practice involves advising and counseling clients – including pharmacies (retail, specialty, long-term care, mail order and compounding), pharmacy benefits managers, pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors, managed care organizations, utilization review organizations, behavioral health treatment facilities and physician groups – on a wide range of healthcare issues, including fraud, abuse, compliance, reimbursement and licensing matters. She also provides regulatory guidance and advice on matters concerning compliance with healthcare laws, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), False Claims Act (FCA), and federal and state controlled substances laws.

In the enforcement context, Ms. Kanjuparamban has represented clients in civil healthcare cases, with an emphasis on healthcare fraud and abuse matters such as those involving the federal AKS and FCA.

In addition, Ms. Kanjuparamban represents clients in a variety of corporate and healthcare transactions, including licensing matters, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and underwriting representations and warranties insurance (RWI).

During law school, Ms. Kanjuparamban served as the executive editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. She also interned in the Medicaid Fraud Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office.
