Overview
Rachel Long is a business attorney in Holland & Knight's Charlotte office, where she focuses her practice on employee benefit and executive compensation matters. Ms. Long regularly advises public and private companies on the compensation and benefits aspects of corporate acquisitions, dispositions and mergers.
Ms. Long also advises clients regarding the design and administration of equity incentive and deferred compensation arrangements, as well as the compliance of employee benefit plans, programs and arrangements with the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
In addition, Ms. Long has experience drafting employment agreements, separation agreements and documentation related to the "golden parachute" payment tax implications of executive compensation arrangements in private company transactions.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Long was an attorney in the Chicago office of a multinational law firm.
