Overview
Shannon Maroutian is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office and a member of the Real Estate Capital Markets Group. Ms. Maroutian focuses her practice on commercial real estate and real estate finance matters. She represents institutional lenders in a variety of real estate financing transactions, including the origination of commercial, construction, hospitality, multistate portfolio, multifamily and mixed-use mortgage loans and secured credit facilities. Ms. Maroutian represents lenders in a variety of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and balance sheet loan origination transactions, and has experience counseling lenders, servicers and special servicers with respect to workouts and other post-securitization matters.
Ms. Maroutian also has experience representing institutional clients in their leasing matters, including in her representation of a national drugstore chain and its affiliates in connection with their Chapter 11 bankruptcy to work with landlords at locations across the U.S. to amend the client's leases and reduce their overall debt.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Maroutian was an associate at a boutique law firm in New York City, where she represented institutional developers, investors and lenders in connection with the creation and governance of residential, commercial and mixed-use condominiums and cooperatives.
