Lorena Victoria Martinez

Lorena Martínez Arcos is a litigation and real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Bogotá office. Ms. Martínez has more than 12 years of experience focusing her practice on litigation and dispute resolution, as well as in urban and real estate law.

Ms. Martínez advises and represents clients in civil, commercial, administrative, real estate and urban litigation before the Ordinary Jurisdiction, arbitration courts and administrative entities at the national, municipal and district level. She has extensive experience in the consumer protection regime both in terms of prevention and compliance, as well as in defense of consumer complaints and administrative investigations.

Ms. Martínez also participates in and advises clients on the design and implementation of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to prevent future disputes and offers assistance and advice on real estate and urban matters. Regarding her real estate and urban law experience, Ms. Martínez advises clients on the structuring, negotiation and development of real estate and urban planning projects, as well as due diligence processes. She drafts and negotiates different kinds of agreements related to real estate practice.

Before joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Martínez worked as an attorney at another law firm in Colombia, where she held the position of director of the real estate and urban law area and associate in the litigation and arbitration area. She also participated as investigator, advisor and legal assistant in the project "Definición de las Directrices de Ordenamiento del Sistema Distrital de Equipamientos, en Desarrollo de la Estructura Funcional y de Servicios del Modelo de Ordenamiento Territorial" and coordinated the specialization of Urban Law at Los Andes University between 2009 and 2011.
