Overview
Sadie Mlika is an intellectual property (IP) attorney in Holland & Knight's Boston office where she focuses her practice on patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation. Ms. Mlika further assists her clients on technology transactions, IP licensing and data privacy matters, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their legal and business needs.
While in law school, Ms. Mlika gained experience as a student attorney for the Intellectual Property Law Clinic, assisting diverse and low-income clients in securing trademark and copyright protection. She further showcased her advocacy skills by competing in the International Trademark Association's Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition, where her team achieved third place nationwide. Ms. Mlika also held leadership roles during her legal studies such as director of communications for the Student Bar Association and treasurer of the IP Society. In addition, Ms. Mlika completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Indira Talwani of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, where she performed extensive legal research and drafted initial opinions on federal civil matters.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Mlika was a summer associate in the firm's Boston office, where she assisted the IP litigation group. Previously, Ms. Mlika served as chief of communications for a cybersecurity startup based in New York, where she confronted business challenges facing emerging companies in the technology sector.
Ms. Mlika graduated with honors from New York University, where she was a distinguished speaker at the Senior Symposium and received the Founder's Day Award, as well as the Dean's Award for Summer Research.
