Overview

Taylor P. Monnig is a financial services attorney in Holland & Knight's Nashville office, where she focuses her practice on the financing, acquisition, disposition, leasing and development of commercial real estate.

Ms. Monnig represents lenders and borrowers in commercial finance transactions, including acquisition financing, asset-based, real estate and construction funding, syndicated and single lender loan transactions, senior and subordinated credit facilities, intercreditor agreements, workouts and restructuring across numerous industries, including automotive and healthcare.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Monnig gained valuable experience with a large national law firm, where she was a member of its Real Estate and Finance Practice Group.

Representative Experience

  • Represented the lender in $368 million of term, accounts receivable and mezzanine loans to finance the acquisition and operations of 27 assisted living and skilled nursing facilities across Florida
  • Represented the borrower in $300 million of term and accounts receivable loans to refinance the acquisition and operations of 30 automobile dealerships in three states
  • Represented the lender in $604 million of term, accounts receivable and mezzanine loans to the owners and operators of 54 skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in numerous states
  • Represented the lender in an $89 million term loan to finance the acquisition of a hotel and retail shops in California
  • Represented the borrower in $12 million of term and accounts receivables loans to finance the construction and operations of two agricultural equipment retail locations in Oklahoma
  • Represented the lender in a $130 million term loan to finance the acquisition of an office building in Texas
  • Represented the borrower in a $70 million loan for the joinder of five independent living and memory care facilities to a senior credit facility acquisition of six assisted living and skilled nursing facilities in various states
  • Represented the lender in a modification to a $539 million term loan in order to approve the borrower's restructuring of the ownership of 27 skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care facilities

  • Represented the purchaser in numerous acquisitions of land for agricultural equipment and automobile dealerships
  • Represented the seller in the disposition of three automobile dealerships across Tennessee
  • Represented the purchaser in the acquisition of nine agricultural equipment and automobile dealerships
  • Represented the tenant in the drafting and negotiation of lease agreements for multiple retail centers and manufacturing warehouses
  • Represented the tenant in the drafting and negotiation of ground lease agreements for numerous telecommunications towers across the Southeast
