Overview
Antonia "Toni" M. Moran is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Philadelphia office and a member of the firm's Labor, Employment and Benefits Group. Ms. Moran's practice focuses on assisting private, public, commercial and nonprofit employers with all aspects of labor and employment law and related litigation. Ms. Moran primarily focuses her practice on the defense of federal and state wage and hour class and collective actions. She has represented clients facing nationwide wage and hour collective litigation, as well as other types of complex litigation, in the financial services, energy, healthcare, higher education, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, medical device and retail sectors. Additionally, Ms. Moran represents employers in restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation, as well as internal investigations, harassment and discrimination claims, and counsels clients on wage and hour compliance and audit issues.
Ms. Moran also focuses on a wide range of pay equity issues and has experience conducting proactive compensation assessments, crafting remedial measures to mitigate future risk, handling investigations related to complaints of pay discrimination, and developing long-term pay equity and compliance strategies.
In addition to her employment litigation and counseling work, Ms. Moran maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting veterans seeking discharge upgrades before the Board of Veterans' Appeals and providing pro bono counseling and training on various employment law matters for nonprofit organizations.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Moran worked as an attorney at a large international law firm in Philadelphia, where she defended corporations in various types of employment litigation.
Before entering law school, Ms. Moran served on active duty in the U.S. Army and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She served as an enabler supporting Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) forces and instructed Afghan National Security Force members on sensitive combat operations.
