Courtney (Oakes) Robertson

Courtney (Oakes) Robertson is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Fort Lauderdale office. Ms. Robertson is well versed in commercial litigation and consumer financial services litigation, representing financial services companies in class actions and individual cases all across the country.

Ms. Robertson has extensive experience handling contested foreclosures, real estate and title issues and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) regulatory compliance, as well as assisting clients in an assortment of civil litigation matters arising in the state and federal context. Ms. Robertson represents financial institutions such as national and state banks, credit card issuers, auto finance companies, mortgage lenders and servicers, and other consumer financial service providers.

For more than a decade, Ms. Robertson has successfully defended clients across the country against consumer claims that stemmed from alleged violations of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), state consumer protection acts as well as common law claims. Ms. Robertson has jury and nonjury experience and has successfully arbitrated hundreds of matters. She also has served as counsel in several class action matters across the United States for several consumer financial services clients.
