Overview

Kathryn "Kate" Robinson is a real estate and business attorney in Holland & Knight's Portland office. Ms. Robinson's practice focuses primarily on commercial real estate, multifamily real estate, debt financing and corporate law matters.

Ms. Robinson represents clients in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of a variety of commercial and real estate transactions. Her work also includes advising business clients in a range of corporate law matters and commercial finance transactions.

Ms. Robinson counsels clients in a variety of commercial real estate transactions, focusing on the acquisition, financing, development and disposition of multifamily, mixed-use and commercial properties. She represents clients in all phases of real estate transactions, including the formation of joint venture arrangements, negotiation of purchase and sale documents, real estate diligence and obtaining debt financing. She is experienced in representing clients utilizing a variety of financing sources, including Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loans, bank loans and tax-exempt bonds.

In addition, Ms. Robinson has experience with a broad range of commercial finance transactions, including working capital loans, leveraged buyouts, project finance transactions, syndicated debt, mezzanine lending and mortgage-backed securities. Her projects have included debt secured by a variety of asset types and unsecured debt, and her clients have included financial institutions, private equity firms, hedge funds, and energy and retail companies.

Ms. Robinson also works with business clients on a variety of corporate law matters as well as in the acquisition and disposition of businesses and their assets.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Robinson was an attorney at a Seattle-based law firm.

While in law school, Ms. Robinson was a senior notes editor for the Georgetown Environmental Law Review.
