Overview

Ilana Strickon is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office. Ms. Strickon concentrates her practice in commercial real estate and finance law. She has extensive experience in the areas of real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and commercial leasing.

Ms. Strickon advises lenders, borrowers, developers, real estate private equity funds and institutional and non-institutional investors in connection with the acquisition, development and financing of a variety of real estate projects, including vacant land, office and retail buildings, industrial projects, shopping centers, multifamily complexes, hotels and resorts, and other commercial properties in a variety of jurisdictions in the U.S., as well as international properties.

Ms. Strickon's experience includes representing lenders and borrowers on construction, and senior and mezzanine financings, including the sale and financing of secured real estate loans. In addition, Ms. Strickon has experience representing lenders and borrowers in distressed situations, including debt restructurings, extensions, workouts, forbearance agreements, foreclosures and other enforcement actions.

Ms. Strickon represents clients in the formation and negotiation of joint ventures and preferred equity investments, including resolution of joint venture issues and disputes. Ms. Strickon also negotiates retail leases, industrial and warehouse leases and ground leases.

During law school, Ms. Strickon was a research and writing editor of the New York University School of Law Moot Court Board.
