Overview
Luca Trumbull is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Los Angeles office and a member of the firm's West Coast Land Use and Environmental Group. Mr. Trumbull focuses his practice on land use and environmental law matters, with a particular interest in advancing housing development projects across California.
While in law school, Mr. Trumbull was a student volunteer in the Central California Legal Services' Habitability Pro Bono Program in Merced, California, where he assisted low-income tenants in their disputes concerning California's implied warranty of habitability. He also participated in Startup Legal Garage, a legal clinic that grants law students the opportunity to assist small business founders with a wide range of transactional matters relating to entity formation, intellectual property (IP) control, equity division and exit. Additionally, Mr. Trumbull was a staff editor for the UC Law Environmental Law Journal.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight as a summer associate, Mr. Trumbull was a summer associate at a boutique litigation firm in Seattle, Washington, where he worked on numerous personal injury matters, including one case that resulted in a successful outcome before the Washington Supreme Court.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Trumbull served in various positions that focused on state-level environmental policy in California. Mr. Trumbull was a legislative intern for the premier public policy advocacy association of California wineries. He also served as an intern for a nonprofit, nonpartisan coalition of business, labor and public leaders, which advances balanced policies for a healthy environment and a strong economy.
