Overview
Frances "Annie" Ziesing is a data strategy and privacy attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office. Ms. Ziesing provides compliance guidance for clients navigating evolving state, federal and international laws relating to data privacy, cybersecurity, children's data, biometrics, artificial intelligence (AI) and data transfers. Ms. Ziesing also generates risk-conscious solutions in the data strategy, product counseling and emerging technology contexts.
Ms. Ziesing holds certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) for the United States (CIPP/US) and Europe (CIPP/E). She has in-depth knowledge of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar comprehensive state privacy laws, as well as the European Union's (EU) comprehensive General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Ziesing was a litigator at a global law firm, where she represented clients in financial services, banking, securities, trademark and contract disputes. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Chief Judge Martin Glenn of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Ms. Ziesing's litigation experience provides a direct line of sight into the risks faced by clients.
