Compliance Roadmap & Classification

International Trade attorney Andrew McAllister will speak at the American Conference Institute's (ACI) virtual Passport to Proficiency on the ITAR program. Mr. McAllister will present on the first day of the event focused on compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR). The session will review key agencies for ITAR and other export-controlled goods and technologies, how to identify when foreign commercial products and technology can become ITAR-controlled, and what the "specially designed or modified" reach of ITAR means. Other topics include the U.S. Munitions List (UML), U.S. export controls, guidance on ITAR and common mistakes made by industry when it comes to compliance.
