Cryptocurrency Bill and Reflections from Comparative Law

Attorneys Camilo Gantiva Hidalgo and Jessica Magee and Senior Policy Advisor Scott Mason will participate in the seminar "Reflections on the Legal Framework for Cryptocurrency in Colombia," hosted by the Center for FinTech Studies (CEFinTech) of the Department of Financial and Securities Law at the Universidad Externado de Colombia. The program's objective is to analyze the regulatory outlook for digital assets in the country, in particular challenges and opportunities associated with the regulation of cryptocurrencies. Mr. Gantiva Hidalgo will moderate a panel featuring Ms. Magee and Mr. Mason on a bill that seeks to establish a regulatory framework for virtual assets, promote the adoption of blockchain technology and create a registry for certain providers of services in this area.
