Tax Issues with Distressed Partnerships and Real Estate Business

Tax attorney Jessica Kirk will participate in a State Bar of Texas panel where she will discuss tax issues involving distressed partnerships and real estate businesses, such as cancellation of debt income, debt versus equity considerations and significant modifications. Additionally, her panel will also go over the IRS’ recent guidance on increased partnership audit activities and explain how to advice clients with respect to losses and material advisor disclosure requirements.
