Litigation attorney Barbara Martinez will participate in the 40th White Collar Crime Institute hosted by the American Bar Association (ABA) Criminal Justice Section. The four-day conference convenes federal and state judges and prosecutors, law enforcement officials, defense attorneys, corporate in-house counsel and academics for presentations on trends and developments in corporate compliance and white collar defense. Federal regulators and enforcers have also begun announcing new policies or initiatives at the institute, highlighting its significance for the sector.

Ms. Martinez will speak on the second day of the event on a panel focused on healthcare fraud enforcement activity. She will cover U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) initiatives and notable U.S. Supreme Court cases, along with their implications for white collar legal professionals. In addition, the session will explore innovative defense strategies incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) and the effectiveness of voluntary disclosure programs.
