Nearshoring in Mexico: A U.S. Perspective and Business Opportunities
International Trade attorneys Antonia Tzinova, Francisco Sanchez, Turenna Ramirez and Molly O'Casey participated in a Lexology webinar about the rise in nearshoring as a result of recent disruptions to global trade. Events including tensions in U.S.-China relations, the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine have created a trend of U.S. companies moving their production to countries that are geographically proximate to their markets, also known as nearshoring. During this webinar, the speakers examined the status of nearshoring as well as the effects of U.S.-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement and recent U.S. legislation such as the Inflation Reduction Act and CHIPS and Science Act.
