Larry Childs weighed in, describing what he's seen recently.
“We represented two banks in three lawsuits filed in federal courts in Alabama and Florida regarding the Paycheck Protection Program. Several accounting firms brought claims alleging that banks were required to compensate them for services performed for borrowers who obtained PPP loans. We successfully argued that the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation should not consolidate all the claims before a single federal judge. Then we prevailed in the three lawsuits.”
