Broad Biden Vaccine Order Has Deep Reach Into Contractor Realm

Government Contracts attorney Christian Nagel spoke with Bloomberg Law about the new COVID-19 vaccine mandate affecting federal contractors. One of the distinguishing features of the mandate is its broad scope: The requirements cover both employees directly involved with a contract and employees who work alongside them, such as those who work in the same building. Mr. Nagel added that some agencies may go beyond the initial mandate and try to apply the requirements to companies providing products, especially if there is a service contract involved.

"Not only is it any employee working on or in a connection with a government contract, it's an employee working at a location," he explained.
