Reform to the Mining Law Worries the Sector; Protections Anticipated

Mining attorney Selene Espinosa was quoted in an article by EL CEO about the approval of the reform to the Mining Law by the Mexican Senate that surprised the mining sector. The article discusses how this reform can cause collateral damage to various departments within the mining industry. Ms. Espinosa spoke about the different issues that worry investors regarding this reform.

"One of the issues that greatly worries the investors in the sector is the possible violation of international treaties, international arbitration, investment and other international mechanisms in light of the USCMA," she said.
