Banks in D.C. Form Trade Group to Give Industry More Say in Regulation, Legislation
Public Policy & Regulation attorney Janene Jackson was featured in a Washington Business Journal article recapping the formation of the D.C. Bankers Association (DCBA), a banking trade group whose goal is to offer banks and financial services companies the opportunity to weigh in on conversations about banking legislation and regulation in the District of Columbia. DCBA members include both community banks and larger national banks that operate or are headquartered in D.C. Ms. Jackson was named the organization's first president, and she brings experience in all branches of government in the District. Under her leadership, the group will offer input on issues including real estate finance, affordable housing, lending, credit reporting and credit card fees.
