Infobae

Financial Services attorney Camilo Gantiva was quoted in an article by Infobae about the move toward regulation of digital currencies and crypto assets in Colombia. The country is ranked among the 15 nations with the most crypto assets in the world, resulting in a higher commitment to creating a regulatory framework in response to this growing interest. Mr. Gantiva agreed with this sentiment, going so far as providing six fundamental aspects that should be taken into account when drafting the next bill to address this topic. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of providing this extra layer of security as the country continues its involvement in this industry.

"Some international studies place Colombia among the 15 countries that transact the most crypto assets in the world, which shows that there is a significant local market for this type of asset and further demonstrates the need to move forward with comprehensive regulation that provides security and clarity for users," he said.
