The article highlighted several areas that could be vulnerable to legal challenges if Chevron is weakened or eliminated, including the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) anti-discrimination provision, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, disability law and regulations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Ms. Hartsfield emphasized the importance of regulatory consistency.

"I really like having a rule that I can hang my hat on. If certain rules go away, that's going to create a lot of ambiguity," she said.
