Holland & Knight Represents Joby Aviation, Inc. in its Acquisition of Avionyx

MIAMI (May 19, 2022) – Holland & Knight acted as legal advisor to Joby Aviation, Inc. (NYSE: JOBY) in its acquisition of Avionyx. The deal was announced on May 18.

Based in Santa Cruz, California, Joby Aviation is a developer of all-electric aircraft for commercial passenger service. Based in San Jose, Costa Rica, Avionyx is an established aerospace software engineering firm with extensive experience performing software verification services to both Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. The acquisition allows Joby to scale resources rapidly to support its certification activities through the integration of an experienced team with a proven track record.
