Holland & Knight Strengthens West Coast Corporate Practice with Addition of Cliff DeGroot in Portland

PORTLAND (November 6, 2023) – Holland & Knight has bolstered its Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group with the addition of Cliff DeGroot as a partner in Portland. He was previously a partner with Davis Wright Tremaine.

Mr. DeGroot focuses his practice on counseling startups, emerging growth companies and restaurants on governance and general corporate matters. He has extensive experience forming and structuring corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs) and limited partnerships, and frequently advises clients on mergers, acquisitions and private placements of convertible notes, preferred stock and LLC interests, as well as limited partnerships to angel investors, venture capital groups and private equity funds. His experience prior to entering the practice of law includes work as a certified public accountant and chief financial officer (CFO) of a public company.
