Overview
Christopher Ezell is a real estate litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office, where he focuses on business litigation involving creditors' rights, lender liability, commercial contracts and injunctive relief. He works closely with his clients to assist their need to maximize their recovery on their assets from the initial default through judgment enforcement.
Mr. Ezell represents mortgage servicers, commercial lenders, debt buyers, corporations and individuals in all aspects of commercial litigation, loan workouts, receiverships, restructurings, closings, asset recovery and foreclosure.
In addition, Mr. Ezell has significant experience assisting clients on transactions related to real estate and the purchase and sale of individual loans and loan pools. He is well versed in litigating issues related to real estate and its development, including matters related to title defects, corporate control and bankruptcy issues.
Mr. Ezell also has advised clients as to numerous issues related to hotel franchise agreements and compliance with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) pooling and servicing agreements. He has domesticated judgments pursuant to the Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act (UEFJA) in several states and has pursued numerous judgment debtors in several states on Uniform Voidable Transactions Act (UVTA) claims as well as Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act (UFTA) claims.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Ezell was an attorney for a national law firm in its Mobile, Alabama, and Miami offices.
