Holland & Knight Continues Growth of Real Estate Capital Markets Practice with Addition of Chris Ezell in Miami

MIAMI (February 20, 2024) – Holland & Knight has strengthened its nationally recognized Real Estate Capital Markets Group with the addition of Partner Chris Ezell in Miami. Mr. Ezell focuses on business litigation involving creditors' rights, lender liability, commercial contracts and injunctive relief. He was previously a partner with Jones Walker.

The addition of Mr. Ezell follows Holland & Knight's recruitment of Real Estate Capital Markets Partner Cara Houck in Chicago in January.

"Chris' significant experience litigating issues related to real estate finance and distressed debt will aid us in enhancing the firm's Real Estate Capital Markets Group," said Joe Guay, Holland & Knight's Real Estate Section leader. "We are thrilled to welcome him to our rapidly growing team."

Mr. Ezell represents mortgage servicers, commercial lenders, debt buyers, corporations, individuals, and other secured and unsecured creditors in all aspects of commercial litigation, loan workouts, restructurings and closings, asset recovery and foreclosure. He has also advised clients on numerous issues related to hotel franchise agreements and compliance with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) pooling and servicing agreements.

Mr. Ezell received a J.D. degree from The University of Alabama School of Law and a B.S. degree from The University of Alabama.
