Overview
Jamie Jackson Hansen is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Denver office and a member of the firm's Construction Industry Practice Group. Ms. Hansen focuses her practice on domestic and international energy and infrastructure project development, construction and energy transactions, and international construction and energy dispute resolution matters.
Ms. Hansen's transactional experience includes preparing and negotiating engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements, owner's engineer agreements, engineering services agreements and equipment supply agreements for a range of project types, including industrial process, alternative fuels processing, battery storage and large-scale commercial solar power. She also has experience preparing and negotiating terminaling and transportation agreements for various petroleum products, as well as midstream asset joint venture agreements and documents related to entity formations, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate finance.
Ms. Hansen's dispute resolution experience includes representing clients in international arbitrations involving construction disputes, as well as advising clients on claims evaluation and dispute avoidance.
During law school, Ms. Hansen interned for the Honorable Timothy Tymkovich in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, as well as for the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC). She also served as the casenote and comment editor for the University of Colorado Law Review.
Before her legal career, Ms. Hansen worked as a mechanical engineer in the electric power and manufacturing industries. She is a licensed professional engineer with experience in feasibility studies, design and construction of both traditional fossil fuel and renewable energy facilities, including natural gas, coal and solar power plants.
