Overview

Chrystie Holmstrom is a business attorney in Holland & Knight's Nashville office. Ms. Holmstrom focuses her practice on general corporate law, with significant experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, investment funds, corporate governance and family offices.

Ms. Holmstrom has in-depth knowledge of the needs of sophisticated family offices, including issues relating to risk, structuring, operations, charitable giving, estate planning and compliance. She collaborates with investment staff on public and private equity, fixed income, operating companies, partnerships, internal and external funds and derivative products. She also advises, structures, documents and reports on family-related investments and entities.

In addition, Ms. Holmstrom helps to drive strategies for capital formation and major business endeavors, including investments, real estate and financial transactions, as well as joint ventures, through the entire life cycle of deals. She also counsels boards of directors and senior management on strategic planning, material business decisions, risk considerations, litigation matters, fiduciary obligations, regulatory compliance, investor communications and news releases.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Holmstrom served as chief legal officer and corporate secretary for an energy developer based in Texas and Tennessee. Previously, she held several leadership roles within a prominent New York family office and its privately held family investment entities regarding significant transactions and key projects.
