Overview
Vanessa Madrid is a transactional attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office, focusing her practice on real estate and corporate law with concentrations in land use and zoning, real estate transactions, environmental law and general corporate matters.
Ms. Madrid represents a diverse client base, including developers, property owners and corporate entities, throughout the development process. Her real estate practice encompasses land use, zoning and environmental matters for a wide array of projects in a number of industries, including technology, healthcare, manufacturing and financial services, among others. She has extensive experience representing office and industrial logistics developments, including corporate headquarters, schools, data centers, healthcare facilities, retail centers, manufacturing facilities, single-family and multifamily residential developments (workforce, market-rate and luxury products), entertainment venues, telecommunications facilities, free-standing emergency departments, urgent care centers, hospital campuses, hotels and resorts, and large-scale residential and planned communities. She also works on infrastructure projects involving renewable energy, manufacturing plants, mixed-use developments and structuring complex public-private partnership arrangements.
In addition, Ms. Madrid has corporate experience supporting clients in navigating mergers and acquisitions (M&A), forming joint ventures, private equity transactions, commercial arrangements and addressing day-to-day governance needs. She is also adept at handling commercial business arrangements, securities law, restructuring, equity and debt-financing, as well as cross-border transactions.
Ms. Madrid's leadership roles at Holland & Knight include serving on the firm's Public and Charitable Services Relations Sub-Committee, 9/11 Day of Service Committee, Hispanic Affinity Group and Women's Initiative. She is deeply committed to community service, with pro bono efforts that include representing community organizations on a range of transactional matters.
