Overview
Paul Monsour is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Houston office. Mr. Monsour represents public and private companies in securities regulation and corporate matters.
Mr. Monsour guides clients through securities regulation, capital markets transactions, corporate governance matters, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other general corporate issues. He has a deep understanding of the intersection between securities law disclosures and financial reporting and is particularly experienced with the disclosure and reporting requirements specific to oil and gas companies.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Monsour maintains an active certified public accountant (CPA) license.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Monsour was an attorney for a multinational law firm in its Houston office. Previously, he served as an attorney-adviser in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Division of Corporation Finance, reviewing registration statements and other SEC filings for compliance with the securities laws. Prior to that, Mr. Monsour served as a senior staff accountant in the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance, reviewing SEC filings for compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) accounting rules. Before serving at the SEC, Mr. Monsour was an auditor for two of the Big Four accounting firms.
