Overview
Pamela Pinto Rangel is an international trade attorney in Holland & Knight's Mexico City office, where she focuses her practice on customs, foreign trade and regulatory issues.
Ms. Pinto has extensive consulting experience in trade compliance and customs matters, including tariff classification, Mexican official standards, export controls and the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), as well as other free trade agreements. Her experience extends to management of customs and foreign trade strategies for companies, particularly in the application for manufacturing, industry, maquila and export services (IMMEX) programs, promotional sector (PROSEC) programs, value-added tax (VAT) and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certifications.
Ms. Pinto honed her skills in the areas of customs planning and facilitation programs development when she served as a government officer. Additionally, she has broad experience in customs regulations, public policy, advocacy and implementation of nationwide trade regulations.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Pinto served as department head at the Customs Law Regulations office of the Mexican Customs Agency and also served as deputy director of trade facilitation and foreign trade at the Ministry of Economy.
