Holland & Knight is attending and participating in the 29th Annual Conference of the Forum on Communications Law hosted by the American Bar Association (ABA). The annual conference includes an array of workshops hosted by legal professionals who will address pressing issues like confronting content, communications, entertainment and media lawyers. Partner Robb Harvey, who serves as the chair of the ABA Forum on Communications Law, and partner Tim Conner, who is on the Governing Committee, will also attend the event.

Data Strategy, Security & Privacy attorney Hilary Lane will be participating in the "Hot Issues in Data Privacy" workshop about the pressing topic of website privacy for the media industry. The presentation will cover the current legal landscape, as well as strategies for preventing and responding to actions involving laws.

Hot Issues in Social Media & Advertising

Media attorney Christine Walz will be participating in the "Hot Issues in Social Media & Advertising" workshop on trends affecting the social media legal landscape. This workshop will discuss efforts to regulate or ban social media platforms, artificial intelligence (AI) and the legal issues that arise from its use, and issues in advertising and promotions law.

Media attorney Cindy Gierhart will be participating in the "Hot Issues in Insurance" workshop about the trends in media law.
