Bracing for the Big One: The Impact of the California Consumer Privacy Act on E-Discovery
Partners Paul Bond, Mark Melodia and Mark Francis wrote an article on the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) which will become effective on Jan. 1, 2020. The Act will give California residents the right to know what personal information is being collected about them and the ability to access their personal information after it is collected.
However, litigation and compliance attorneys will have to work together to block the rush to exploit the CCPA as a tool for discovery material.
