EB-5 Law Heading for Temporary Extension Without Changes
Attorney Ron Klein has spent more than a year lobbying in Washington to keep the EB-5 immigration program unchanged, and it recently was extended before its expiration date last week. Mr. Klein said confusion over proposed language that had not had a public hearing or vetting and concern that the bill's 'reforms' would have done more damage than good.
"This is very good news for EB-5 projects in Florida and elsewhere which have been in the middle of their fundraising efforts," Mr. Klein said. "They can continue to do so at the same $500,000 price per investor."
