Justices to Weigh Patent Board’s Power Over Time-Based Trials

The Supreme Court will hold a patent validity trial for the Thryv, Inc. v. Click-to-Call original appeal and the outcome could affect the efficiency and scope of Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings.
"The core issue is whether a decision that a petition is time-barred is reviewable. If it's not reviewable, that greatly reduces the overall time one of these decisions spends in court," said Attorney David Donoghue.
