Biden's Infrastructure Push Sets off Feeding Frenzy in Washington
Public Policy & Regulation Group Leader Rich Gold was cited in a POLITICO article discussing the lobbying frenzy set off by President Joe Biden's proposed $2 trillion infrastructure package. The plan aims to rebuild roads and bridges, expand access to clean water and broadband, and spur job growth. With provisions touching nearly every industry across the country, veteran policy professionals have said they anticipate some of the most intensive lobbying efforts in history, surpassing even those directed toward pandemic relief bills.
Mr. Gold commented that Holland & Knight has seen a sharp uptick in requests from potential clients, so much so that some of them have had to be turned away. However, that's hardly a surprise, he added.
"Look at the plan," he said. "Shouldn't everybody be lobbying this bill?"
