"Clarity in the Rules and State Support Are Some of the Challenges of the Mining Sector"

Energy and Natural Resources attorney José Vicente Zapata was interviewed for an Asuntos Legales article on the most important laws and regulations for the energy sector in Colombia. Mr. Zapata also spoke about the legal challenges that companies in the energy sector will face in the coming years. Additionally, he mentioned the legal mechanisms to resolve disputes and conflicts in the corporate and energy field in the country.

"It is important to highlight the need to have a dispute resolution instance that has the necessary technical and jurisdictional capacity to legally resolve the different specialized conflicts that may arise," he said.
