Here's Why Biden Is Targeting AI, Semiconductors and Quantum Computers in China

Public Policy & Regulation attorney Paul Stimers was quoted in a Washington Examiner article about President Joe Biden's recent executive order restricting investments in Chinese technology. The order centers on China-owned semiconductor, quantum or artificial intelligence (AI)- focused companies, restricting all new investments in these three sectors. Mr. Stimers, who has experience in policy advocacy efforts related to quantum technology and AI, commented on the international race to gain an advantage in the world of quantum computing.

"We're making a lot of progress," he said. "It's important to take the technology seriously from a national security perspective, as well as from an economic perspective."
