She commented that the introduction of a new mining bill proposes major alterations to the existing contractual framework, potentially reversing progress and expanding legal ambiguities, while measures such as Decree 044 complicate operations by designating temporary conservation areas without thorough technical analysis, threatening miners' rights and creating the potential for international arbitration risks.
"This period of regulatory upheaval has served to greatly unite the mining industry," she said.
