Ricardo Roa Would Have Influenced the Arrival of Carillo to ISA: Controversial Board Actions Made Known

El Colombiano

Energy & Natural Resources attorney Inés Elvira Vesga was cited in an article published by El Colombiano analyzing the controversy surrounding the election of Jorge Carillo as president of ISA. A study carried out by the firm Korn Ferry details various questionable acts by the company's board of directors, and recently the Medellín Chamber of Commerce suspended the registration of Carillo as its legal representative. Ms. Vesga explained what this pronouncement means and how it affects ISA's operations.

"The suspension of the appointment does not leave the company without a legal representative, the effect is that the previous representative continues, and this has been evidenced in the certificate of existence and legal representation," she said. "It is important to clarify that the Chamber is reviewing the appeal, which is based on form defects."
