The new administration is expected to focus on expanding fossil fuel production and reviewing or repealing regulations that push to curb climate change with clean energy initiatives. Additionally, President-Elect Trump has mentioned he would reauthorize the Keystone XL pipeline, which, as Mr. Noe explains, likely means he plans to boost oil and gas production by accelerating the permitting process.
"I think all indications point to a fairly early effort by the Trump Administration to streamline the permitting process," he said.
