Buy-Sell Activity Expected to Stay Busy in 2025
Mergers and Acquisitions attorney Stephen Dietrich was recently quoted in Automotive News discussing the evolving pace of automotive dealership transactions in 2025. Mr. Dietrich noted deals are taking longer to finalize because of more careful pricing negotiations, more thorough underwriting by banks and more complexity in high-value transactions. He explained that, as a result, some deals initiated in 2025 may not close until the following year.
"You might not get as many deals closing at the end of the year as we might normally see if a deal starts in August or September," he said.
