Holland & Knight Helps Oak Creek Energy Get Key Regulatory Approval for Mexico’s Largest Wind Farm
MEXICO CITY (March 2, 2018) – Holland & Knight represented Oak Creek Energy Systems, Inc., a California-based wind projects developer and its Mexican subsidiary "Eólica Mesa La Paz," in obtaining the interconnection agreement (the first stage of the project) for the biggest wind farm energy project in Mexico, with a capacity of 306 MW.
The project "Mesa La Paz" belongs to Ener AB in association with AES Corporation. The companies, which jointly own Eólica Mesa La Paz, will start construction this year in the northern State of Tamaulipas. The project development value will be around $400 million.
Oak Creek was represented by Holland & Knight Partners José Antonio Prado, Carlos Ochoa and Associate Alberto Esenaro in Mexico City.
