Holland & Knight Represents Volant Associates in Acquisition by Octo

TYSONS, Va. (July 15, 2021) – Holland & Knight advised Volant Associates, a technology integrator and software development company at the fore of enterprise-scale IT solutions for the Defense Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission, in its acquisition by Octo, an IT modernization provider for the federal government. The deal was announced on July 13.

Headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia, Volant enables data sharing, advanced analytics and enhanced mission capability across the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD). It provides cloud-native, DevSecOps and data solutions in support of DoD enterprise data architectures and interoperability initiatives, including the Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E) Common Data Fabric program.

Octo helps the IC and healthcare, defense, national security and civilian agencies implement and integrate at-scale next-generation technology and innovation. The company provides Agile, DevSecOps, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, Blockchain, cloud, open source and data science solutions, collaborating to solve customers' pressing problems. It is headquartered in Reston, Virginia.
